About us

Founded in 1959, atela specializes in metal surface treatment, particularly electroless nickel plating.

ATELA was founded in 1959 by Dr. Mieczyslaw Osowiecki. Ing. Chemist. Putting creativity and knowledge at the service of industry by creating an ATElier-LAboratoire: that was the motto.

With over 60 years’ experience, our team of specialists can help you choose and carry out the surface treatment best suited to your requirements.

Perfect mastery of processes and attention to detail ensure treatments that meet the highest quality standards. Atela was one of the first licensees of the KANIGEN® electroless nickel plating process, which revolutionized the world of electroplating in the 1960s-1970s. Our strength in innovation has also led us to develop numerous customized solutions for our customers, and to expand our range of deposits by offering composite coatings (NiP+SiC; NiP+Diamond; NiP+hBN; NiP+PTFE).

As a result, our coatings can be found in many areas of the machinery industry, including: plastics and polymer injection molding; textile machinery; pumps, vacuum pumps and compressors; and packaging machinery. As well as high-performance fields such as motor racing (F1) and motorcycling (MotoGP), or the world of the infinitely precise such as watchmaking and aerospace.

Many internationally renowned companies have been placing their trust in us for many years. Our short delivery times, our flexibility, the quality of our processing and our services have earned us an excellent reputation with our customers, resulting in their loyalty over the years.

Our values

Our values are the implementation of a company policy that respects and cares for the general working environment, mainly: integration, safety, quality, conscientiousness, cost control, overall service improvement and training.

Our mission

Our mission is to take our customers’ needs into account, to satisfy both standards and customer requirements, to improve the satisfaction of all parties involved, and to deliver a product and service that meet requirements. Total customer satisfaction, concern for their needs and trust lead to preferred partner status.

Our vision

Our vision is to develop our services in various sectors of the surface treatment market to become a supplier of need and trust, with great flexibility combined with very short lead times. In addition, we have developed a new semi-finished product, a friction spacer whose greatest added value is our DIANIP treatment.
